This is a warm versatile jacket! I was thinking of a puffy that could cover from shoulder season to yhe coldest days for which I have a super warm down parka. The San Juan is perfect for layering which takes it from 50 or 60 degrees down to about 20 to 25 degrees without layers down to probably 0 or -10 or -20 with a light puffy or sweater (or another voormi hoody) inside. It might even reach below that but it’s not bedn cold enough to try those below zero trmps yet this year. I sm about 5a10” snd 195 lbs and a medium Voormi hoody fits me snug. The San Juan L fits best, fine witout layering but plenty of room for layers! It’s my go to jacket at this point!

Great fit - super warm - another home run product!

The girls at Voormi are outstanding. Bought a San Juan jacket and they went out of their way to make it perfect! Love the jacket. You pay for quality and you not only get it in the product, but more importantly you get it in service. I’m a huge fan of Voormi!

I have been using the jacket for about 3 months now. Lots of compliments on it. Wear nice and looks to be well made. Pair it with 1620USA pants for a near built proof work experience.

Perfect fit. Great workmanship and material. Why did I reluctantly return it? I didn't realize how "special purpose" it was. It really is a "work" jacket, with durable fairly stiff Cordura facing covering the front and much of the arms. Overall weight is pretty hefty and in return for its durability, the Cordura is not very flexible. Would be a great jacket for tasks requiring such durable facing for work in conditions ranging to extreme. Ordered it because I had one of the first Voormi Core hooded jackets, same price, great in every respect except for sleeves that were marginal in terms of adequate length. Ultimately gave it to a shorter relative. Had same issue with an early Voormi hoodie. This San Juan jacket and other recent Voormi outerwear has had sleeves which are long enough, as other reviewers have pointed out. I am very glad to see outdoor clothing manufacturers moving away from apparently using Santa Claus as their primary men's clothing fit model! Not sure what Santa Claus will do for winter wear, but glad that I can now get long enough sleeves.

The jacket is great, with nylon panels in all the typical wear areas. The hood is HUGE, and will definitely accommodate a helmet. Wool back and body panels really help breathability. I have really long arms(37"), and the XL had plenty of sleeve length. The only gripe I have is with the cuff on the sleeve. I heard some people complain about the old San Juan jacket's narrow cuffs, so they must have changed that feature on my new one. The sleeve opening is so big, that it falls down over my hands every time i have to do something. I'm a woodworker, so it's a problem. I'll probably have elastic straps attached to the stiffer nylon parts of the cuff. That will keep it tight enough to prevent sliding down, and "elastic" enough to pull off the jacket without undoing a button or snap. The high collar is fantastic for keeping the wind off my neck! BTW, this jacket does surprisingly well in light rain. The stuff beads right up and runs off. 'Hung the damp jacket over a chair and it dried in 10 minutes!

Absolutely love the jacket, I was stuck between medium and large, but since I typically wear large, I opted to go that route. In hindsight, I would prefer to go with the medium as this one is a little too high to wear unless I’m layering. Perfect world, I’d buy both and use for different situations. Worked with Amanda to sort out a mistake I’d made on my initial order and she set all straight quickly and accurately. Love your customer service and eager to buy more.

Ordered a large, a tad to big, waiting on a medium. Beautiful jacket, steel zipper and snaps, no plastic, as well made as you can get. Will upload pics once I receive the medium.

Very nice well built looks like it will last a while, warmer than I thought it would be.

Awesome construction. Yes, the sleeves at the wrist are snug and pulling the jacket off takes a bit of time. I understand or am guessing that the reason for this is so there is not too much fabric to get caught up in tools. If this was the intention, then great design and I can live with a few seconds of removing the jacket. The heavy duty fabric does keep heat in and a sweat is quick in coming if one is working hard. Hood is generously sized for a hard hat. Napoleon & chest pockets are easy to access and hand pockets have room for gloves. Color is awesome and overall fit is great. Not too much hanging off my body to get snagged while working. Me likey.

I wear this jacket a lot. It's definitely my go to for doing work around the property. The heavy cordura is tough as nails though tends to trap sweat a bit more than the surrounding cotton material when doing strenuous work. The cotton material helps compensate with exceptional breathability. My only other teeny tiny gripe is the smallish circumference of the sleeves from the elbows down. As long as I don't have a watch on, it's a minor issue, but also a strength in that there isn't excess sleeve material to get in the way or snag on anything, like a chainsaw. The more I wear it, the more sense it makes as a work coat. My perception of a work/chore coat comes from C*****t though, and I prefer wearing the Voormi far more than my second favorite, which is C*****t - just a very different fit: much less bulky, much more freedom of movement, much better water resistance, more wind resistant zipper with snap closure, better fitting and more functional hood that actually moves with my head, more wear resistant high-abrasion areas, and there's probably more that I'm forgetting. I have never noticed any melting snow getting inside the jacket at all. No downpours yet. I would definitely purchase this again in a heart beat though doubt that I will ever need to as it is showing zero signs of wear after wearing it nearly daily, on cool days at least, this Spring and winter. As always, Voormi build quality is touchstone and the fit is perfect for the work coat that it is meant to be.

Best coat I’ve purchased from you guys

What a great jacket! Comfortable as all get out, sheds water/snow and anything you throw at it. I purchased the XXL because I don't like a tight fit under my arms, especially when wearing something under the jacket.
I would buy another one in a dark gray/graphite color right now,

Bomber jacket, super well made. It should handle the work but also turns heads. I get daily compliments on it when I wear it around.
