So what took us so long you ask?

Three years of tireless product development. It's taken a while to get here, no doubt... WE CAN'T THANK OUR FAMILY, FRIENDS AND FANS ENOUGH FOR HELPING US THROUGH THIS PROCESS. But so it goes with any labor of love. And while we're just a bit sleep deprived and run-ragged at this point, nothing has ever been so rewarding and fun at the same time. IT TURNS OUT BREAKING THE RULES IS HARD. There's a reason people do things the way they've always been done. It's a heck of a lot easier! Lucky for us, we were too stubborn (or naïve?) to give up. Three years later, and now we're 'precision blending' domestically-sourced wool with high performance synthetic fibers, creating hybrid breeds of nature's miracle fiber, and standing in front of a series of backcountry styles more durable and temperature-regulating than anything else on the market today.

SO HERE WE GO, PUSHING NEW TECHNOLOGY AND MAKING A FULL ON ATTEMPT TO SUPPORT THE LOCAL MOVEMENT BY SOURCING AND MANUFACTURING RIGHT HERE IN THE USA. Certainly not the easiest (or the cheapest!) road to take, but we know in the long run it's a more sustainable way to conduct our business from a social, environmental and economic standpoint. MOVING FORWARD, WE'RE FOCUSED ON MAKING THE BEST STUFF OUT THERE

Headquartered, designed, tested, and proven right here in the heart of the Southern San Juans, we are grateful for this unique opportunity to make the absolute best gear for serious backcountry enthusiasts.

That means building the absolute most relevant products for the people out there using them, and drawing on our team's experience guiding and mountaineering across the globe… from the Southern San Juans here in Colorado, all the way up to Denali National Park in Alaska and back down to the far reaches of the South Pole.

Onward and upward!
