Soft, Strong, Quick Drying, and Amazingly warm when it's wet...
Wool is amazing... and collectively over the years, we’ve most likely bought and shredded enough of it to support our own local herd. We’ve experienced it at it’s best, and we’ve been there when we had no choice but to bring the synthetics back out of the bag. All in all, we’ve probably pushed the material that has now become the basic building block of our brand further than we ever should have...
And that’s where we got the idea to push it further... To build what we saw as the next chapter in the story of fine micron wool: The missing link between where wool stands today, and it’s potential to be the core ingredient around which every piece of outdoor clothing we own is built. This is where we pick up the story of Rocky Mountain Highcountry Merino and Precision Blended Wool
The story of our wool both begins and ends in the high elevation and rugged terrain of the Rocky Mountains
Here, against 30-degree daily temperature swings, intense sun, and notoriously unpredictable alpine weather is where we find the unique breeds of domestic merino especially adapted over centuries to thrive in the high elevation terrain of our country’s most iconic mountain range. Exhibiting a higher degree of crimp compared to wool grown in other regions of the world, Rocky Mountain Highcountry Merino™ is as resilient and unforgiving as the environment in which it’s born and raised.
