BALANCE IN NATURE.

Like everything else in life, there’s no silver bullet. What does exist however, is the commitment to do it better. Here’s our what that means to us:
Long Lasting Products + Minimal Impact in Production + Closed Loop Design

Built from a Foundation of Pure Natural Fibers

Did you know the typical polyester fleece takes over 80 years to degrade in a landfill, while the same fleece made from natural fibers takes 80 days.

Built to Last

Hands down, the largest net environmental impact in the clothing on your back is the production of that clothing itself. Making long lasting gear is absolutely the best thing you can do, and that’s why it’s at the center of every impact conversation we have. Validated by true mountain professionals, we think in years – not seasons.

Less Washing

Merino wool is naturally antimicrobial. That means less washing. Less washing means less of everything, from soap to microfibers.

Substance over Story

There’s a lot of talk in the industry about recycled yarns, textiles, and other components. From our perspective, while every step forward is a good one, recycled components still end up as plastic in a landfill (or the ocean). That’s why we take a broader view than ‘what makes a good story’. Bottom line, the more biodegradable things in a garment, the less plastic left at the end.
