Allison Olmsted reviews VOORMI Fall Line Jacket
Based in Colorado, Voormi develops its own technical fabrics. Their products are all made in the U.S. and their merino wool is sourced from the Rocky Mountains. Voormi is pushing the envelope on how well fabrics can wick and be breathable while still remaining water resistant. Their Fall Line jacket ($399) is one stop shopping, made with their "Core Construction Technology," which integrates the waterproof membrane into the fabric, rather than gluing a waterproof layer to the material. It's soft and feels similar to a sweater yet is weather resistant and can be used as an outer layer.
