“A Single Layer Jacket with the wind and snow shedding abilities of a soft shell, but the feel of a fleece”

-Outside Magazine (2015 Buyers Guide)

Well... that about says it.

Not a Hard Shell, Not a Soft Shell, Not a Sweater, and Not a fleece.

Rather, A truly genre blurring ‘do-it-all, wear-it-anywhere’ jacket, and the world’s first piece of outerwear to be built with our much-anticipated CORE CONSTRUCTION™ Technology.  Compared to the last 30 years of stiff, glue based weatherproofing technology, CORE CONSTRUCTION™ Technology relies on the direct integration of the waterproof membrane in to the core of the fabric itself.  The result:  A single layer, soft, supple, sweater-like fabric with previously unattainable breathability and weather resistance. Outerwear Fit.

VOORMI's new jackets might be the best shells ever made - though we've made bold claims like that before... THIS TIME WE MEAN IT... -Outside Magazine

Soft and Waterproof - Though wool is an ideal wet-weather layer because it keeps you warm even when soaked, Voormi set out to prevent the fibers from absorbing water at all. With wind and water-resistant properties woven right into the merino, its Fall Line Jacket looks like a sweatshirt, but it deflects weather like a synthetic softshell. A roomy hood and full-length zipper make it even more versatile - Men's Journal: Gear of the Year 2015

National Geographic Gear of the Year: Fall/Winter 2015

"The Fall Line performed great in cool autumn hiking as an insulating layer, allowing body heat to escape, blocking light rain, and serving as a more weather-worthy option to fleece."

    Elevation Outdoors Peak Gear Awards
"We have been testing a prototype for several months and it has endured nasty squalls just as well as shells with more traditional water shedding, breathable membranes... we are confident wearing this shell all winter long. Plus, it looks good enough for bar hopping."

  • Product Care

While all of our fabrics are specifically designed for machine care, we recommend protecting your investment through minimally damaging processes. For us, this usually means a cold wash cycle followed by a hang-dry. If you do find yourself in a pinch [yes, we’re talking to you procrastinators] than it’s perfectly ok to throw it in the dryer. In either case, we recommend staying away from those pesky fabric softeners.
